ULP Kabupaten Badung mengikuti Pelatihan Dasar Modul 3 : Menyusun Dokumen Lelang dan Kriteria Evaluasi, di Makassar, pada tanggal 8 - 10 Desember 2014. Sebagai informasi, Pelatihan Keahlian Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa Bagi Staf Unit Layanan Pengadaan (ULP) dilaksanakan oleh LKPP (Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah) bekerja sama dengan MCA-I (Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia) terhadap ULP yang ditunjuk sebagai ULP Percontohan.

Pemerintah Kabupaten Badung memiliki komitmen kuat untuk memodernisasi pengadaan barang dan jasa. Dengan komitmen tersebut, Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah (LKPP) menjadikan Badung sebagai salah satu percontohan (pilot projek) modernisasi pengadaan barang dan jasa di Indonesia. Unit kerja Presiden Bidang Pengawasan dan Pengendalaian Pembangunan (UKP-PPP) yang bertugas membantu Presiden dalam melaksanakan pengawasan dan pengendalian pembangunan sehingga sasaran pembangunan nasional dengan penyelesaian penuh menuju Indonesia sejahtera juga sangat ditunjang oleh keberhasilan pemerintah daerah dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi didaerah. Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD) yang merupakan intrumen penting dalam mendorong terjadinya pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah perlu terus diawasi pelaksanaannya sehingga dapat memberi manfaat sebesar-besarnya bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat, terlebih bagi Kabupaten Badung yang memiliki APBD yang demikian besar tentu kondisi ini akan memberikan peran besar dalam terus mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi bagi Badung dan nasional." dari data yang ada bahwa posisi Kabupaten Badung dalam tahun anggaran 2013 lalu dengan APBD mencapai 3 Trilyun lebih dengan serapan mencapai 91,01 persen ini merupakan prestasi sangat membanggakan, oleh karenanya tentu UKP4 sangat mengapresiasi capaian yang diraih Kabupaten Badung dalam melakukan tata kelola keuangan daerahnya. demikian antara lain diungkapkan oleh Deputi IV Unit Kerja Presiden Bidang Pengawasan dan pengendalian pembangunan Tara Hidayat didampingi oleh staf ahli khusus UKP4 Rudianto saat diterima Bupati Badung Anak Agung Gde Agung, Senin, (24/2) di Puspem Badung kemarin.
